Vibration and Shock Isolation Systems for Forging Hammers and PressesFSV & FSX Hy/Damp™ Spring Isolators are low natural frequency, viscous damped, coil spring isolators that offer the greatest vibration and shock control possible. These isolators are also extremely effective for hammer and forging press applications. Viscous damping is very effective at reducing motion and absorbing the high energy levels found in hammer applications.
The MRM Isolation Elements are modular, layered elastomer isolation devices that are configured to provide a desired vibration and shock isolation level. Unlike other systems, these units are mechanically assembled using pins and bolts to prevent any unstacking of the elastomer layers that commonly occurs in competitive systems. Specially compound elastomers provide high levels of isolation and damping while minimizing settling and creep.
FSV Spring Isolators have been specifically designed to isolate transmitted shock and vibration generated by Die Forgers, Drop Hammers, and Forging Presses used in the Forging Industry. Their heavy-duty design is made to hold-up under the severe operating conditions common to forging installations.
These isolators feature
heavy-duty, stress relieved construction; highly effective, viscous damping to control machine motion; one-piece, bellows seal to resist contamination of damping fluid; and protective sleeves around the coil springs to keep scale and scrap from getting between the spring coils.
Vibro/Dynamics MRM Elastomer Isolation Elements are specifically designed for die-forger and hammer installations. The MRM design uses layered elastomer design technology. The more layers - the better the isolation. Vertical dynamic natural frequencies as low as 8 Hz are achievable, resulting in isolation efficiency as high as 80%. Specially compounded elastomers are designed to handle the punishment and minimize settling.
The modular design of the MRM Elements make installation much easier than constructing an isolation system in the pit. No complicated layouts. All of the modules are all the same, eliminating the chance of misplacement. Just lower in each element into the pit and arrange them symmetrically about the anvil. MRM Elastomer Isolation Elements can also be used in place of traditional timber horizontal restraints for longer life, durability and isolation performance.
