The HYDRA/LEVEL® Option
(See Large Press Video)
Hydra/Level® is a patented hydraulic lift-assist system available in Vibro/Dynamics Micro/Level Press Mounts. Built-in hydraulics make leveling and aligning even the heaviest machinery faster and easier, especially when aligning transfer press rolling bolster rails.
No separate jacks or cribbing are necessary. Installation times are greatly reduced by several days. In an actual Hydra/Level installation, a machine weighing up to 4,500,000 pounds was leveled and aligned in less than half a day.
When internal hydraulics are activated, the load on the precision leveling screw is reduced until it can be adjusted by hand. Precision leveling adjustments are made in this manner. The process is repeated until the machine is perfectly leveled and aligned and the support is Fine/Tuned.
Hydra/Level Installation Service
Hydra/Level® Installation Service Vibro/Dynamics will supply two Field Service Technicians to assist the customer’s installation team. They will provide supervisory on-site isolator installation and adjustment instruction to the customer or its agent(s). Vibro/Dynamics will provide the necessary hydraulic pumps and cylinders to make leveling, support and press elevation adjustments. This service does not include any rigging or installation of Vibro/Dynamics products.
Two trips or services are recommended for presses erected on-site. The first service should be conducted right after the bed has been installed. The second service should be conducted after the press has been stacked and prior to the stressing the tie rods. Normal on-site service usually does not exceed one day.
In Summary, Hydra/Level installation service provides includes:
- Advising riggers and/or maintenance personnel, provided by the Customer, on how to install Vibro/Dynamics products in the most efficient and effective manner. The Customer or its agent(s) is responsible for all rigging and the installation and placement of the isolators.
- Advising riggers of the proper sequence of leveling adjustments to the Hydra/Level Isolators, resulting in the optimal installation of the machine. Equipment, such as lasers, optical jig transit systems, or precision machinists’ levels used to determine the machine’s level condition, to be supplied by the customer or its agent(s). An employee or agent of the customer makes approval of final level and installation.
- Providing the necessary Hydra/Level pumps, hoses, and power control system equipment required to properly adjust the isolator height and press elevation. Vibro/Dynamics Service Technicians will activate and control only equipment owned by Vibro/Dynamics.
